Protesters descended on Parliament Hill on Tuesday to protest Senator Plett’s Amendment to C279 which controversially allows for discrimination against Trans folks, despite it being a Trans equality Bill. The Velvet Studio went to see what folks had to say about the protests! Check out our interviews and the video footage of the rally , it is important to the Velvet Studio team that we create a platform where the words and the voices of folks are amplified not silenced. If you want to see other Media coverage please follow these links; Daily Xtra, Huffington Post, Metro, CTV News.

Editors Note: There was a counter protest, claiming at this folks took up too much space, however the Facebook Event only listed 3 people going, and when the Velvet Studio went to speak to the organizer following Charlie’s speech they had left.
